We seem to all be suffering a common problem these days, WHERE DID OUR LIVES GO? Our brains seem to still be 18, but our bodies are talking a different language. Sarah Orne Jewett puts it much more eloquently than do I:

“Neither of my companions was troubled by her burden of years. I hoped in my heart that I might be like them as I lived on into age, and then smiled to think that I too was no longer very young. So we always keep the same hearts, though our outer framework fails and shows the touch of time.”

LYN SCHWEIZER HUFFMAN

Over the years several of us in KHS65 have had close relationships with members of KHS64. Our classmate Sally Schweizer's sister Lyn, a proud member of KHS64 is one of those. While Sal has lived out of our area for many years, Lyn has been here in town and has remained close to her many KHS64 dear dear friends, some of whom, like Linda Girard Day, are our KHS65 mates. Linda has been helping Lyn all along, but especially in the past couple of weeks. Lyn's husband called Linda and Jim to say that last night at about 11:15 Lyn died peacefully in her sleep at home. There will be a memorial service, I'd expect the announcement will be in the Post soon. Lyn is also survived by their two sons Mickey and Dylan. Lyn fought cancer for 12 years, often bouncing back to the absolute amazement of her many friends and family. She had a great spirit, an inspiration to us all. May she rest in peace and love. HERE is her obituary from the St. Louis Post.
