We seem to all be suffering a common problem these days, WHERE DID OUR LIVES GO? Our brains seem to still be 18, but our bodies are talking a different language. Sarah Orne Jewett puts it much more eloquently than do I:

“Neither of my companions was troubled by her burden of years. I hoped in my heart that I might be like them as I lived on into age, and then smiled to think that I too was no longer very young. So we always keep the same hearts, though our outer framework fails and shows the touch of time.”

KHS69 BROTHER -COOL VIDEOS - VETERAN MUST SEE

I hope you will all check out some GREAT youtube videos made by my cooool brother Kert, KHS69. He is SO talented. Kert went back to college not so long ago to earn his Masters in Military History, a subject which has long interested him. He combines that interest with his professional career as a videographer and film editor in Burbank, CA where he has a studio and does great editing! 2 of these videos which I hope all our class VETERANS will watch are of a Memorial Day ceremony in Los Angeles. Not your average Memorial Day celebration. There are I think 80,000 veterans buried there, and the ceremony is emceed by a well-known actor with flag placements by young Scouts. The Medal of Honor ceremony is moving and I must say Kert's photography and editing are spectacular. He has intertwined stills with the movie footage. After you see the videos at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbUA1FjC7aE&feature=uploademail
and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlEUaKPHuQo&feature=related and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlEUaKPHuQo&feature=uploademail then go to the panel on the right and view the others uploaded by KAVISKI1, his youtube ID. They are interviews with a WWII veteran, highlighted by stills which illustrate what Joe the veteran is talking about. The quality of the videos is great, and the subject one we should all be thinking about and sharing with the youth of today. Actually, after you get through with those videos, click on the upper left part of the screen and just click KAVISKI1 link, then go to the bottom of his list of videos and click Part One of his Normandy visit in 1994 for the anniversary of D DAY. It's another great video, in two parts. Kert & his lovely wife Barbara went for the ceremonies, beautiful footage and narration. Thanks for sharing Kert, I love you. Another KHS alum doing good!
