We seem to all be suffering a common problem these days, WHERE DID OUR LIVES GO? Our brains seem to still be 18, but our bodies are talking a different language. Sarah Orne Jewett puts it much more eloquently than do I:

“Neither of my companions was troubled by her burden of years. I hoped in my heart that I might be like them as I lived on into age, and then smiled to think that I too was no longer very young. So we always keep the same hearts, though our outer framework fails and shows the touch of time.”

"Those are the best friends - the ones we have for a long time like us, friends since 4th grade." Officer Barney Fife to Sheriff Andy Taylor, The Andy Taylor Show

Peggy Lee Kramer Obituary (June 18, 1947 - April 12, 2026)

Kramer, Peggy Lee (née Entenman). Peggy passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026 surrounded by friends, stories, music, and laughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lois Entenman (née Stroh), and her brothers Gary Entenman and William “Bill” Entenman.

Peggy was a 1965 graduate of Kirkwood High School and a lifelong resident of Kirkwood. She loved her friends, traveling, puzzles, Broadway musicals, Dr Pepper, and Jimmy Buffett. “Some of it’s magic, some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way.”

In lieu of flowers, raise a glass to Peggy with your favorite cocktail. Thank you to the kindhearted staff at St. Louis de Greeff Hospice House for their care in her final days. Funeral arrangements are private, and a celebration of her life will follow at a later date.
