In working on my blog I found a note about Rich so went searching and found an obituary for him.
Richard A Wachter December 17, 1946 – November 3, 2021
Richard was born to Leonard and Gertrude Wachter on December 17, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. After spending many years in New York and raising a family in Massachusetts, Richard had recently returned to his home city where he was enjoying reconnecting with old friends. While his life was tragically cut short, his final days were happy ones.
Among his friends and family Richard was known to be truly unique. He spent his time learning, questioning, and creating while challenging those around him to do the same. Richard was a core pillar in many people's lives and will be remembered and missed dearly.
Richard is survived by his loving daughter Marie, former spouse Kim, and friends who became family.
In lieu of an immediate service, donations will be made in Richard's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Salvation Army. If interested, others are encouraged to do the same.
