February 21, a few updates and an added photo please scroll thru again!
After all the years I have been posting on this blog, today the software is choosing to give me fits. I feel like I have never used it before!!! I take no credit for these photos, the ones I posted on my Facebook page were either taken by me or someone using my camera. There are many photos, often multiples of the same person or group so I tried to use the pix that are the most flattering to those shown. Please know that you must not give any importance to the order in which these are posted, NOR with whom the folks may be pictured - there is no gossip to be started here. 💀 What a great group of friends though, enjoying the company of one another after many years !!!

Some '64 folks whose pic snuck in, but Pete Nardie is my good pal and John Burns too so it's OKAY, besides the DART loves seeing us all together. I vote John Burns as the most changed male, I did NOT recognize him in these pix, except for seeing his nametag with his KHS yearbook photo, now THAT John Burns I recognized!! Looking good John!!!See the Veterans Affairs tab on www.khs65blog.com for the list of our known Veterans with info on their service in most cases
and let me know if you want to add or change any information OR add some names! Just go to the front page, scroll down the right side below the Cavern Club patch to LABELS, then scroll down to Veterans Affairs and click - all of the posts regarding our Vets will appear and scroll down til you see the post that is the list. And a bit farther down that right side you'll see IN MEMORIAM, the list of those who have left us. Please advise if you have information to add there.
Linda Girard Day, my idol, has been married to Jim Day for 57 years and they were together for 4 before that. She has cared for him, their 4 boys, inlaws, grandchildren, parents, friends, work friends, Kirkwood citizens (he a former Kirkwood COP,) and oh so much more for all these years. She should be the one of us to write her autobiography, it would be hilarious, serious, sad, uplifting and amazing. I have NO memory of what announcement she was making here but I would bet it was giving us all some sort of instructions! Love you girl!. I can say that, we've been friends since 2nd grade, same with Karen Lowe...life long friends - one of the very best things about blooming where you are planted!
FLASH 2/21/26 - I think I erred, I did not realize what a chanteuse Mrs. Day is!I think she was trying to get our attention to serenade us here! And now I learn she used to sing with our sweet late Jack Toman. Since I can't carry a tune in a bucket, I am sooo envious! In the future we should ask her to entertain us!
